Markets down...Now which stocks to buy??

Now that the stock markets are going down....What would be some good shares to buy to make some money in the future? It's been a while since I've done anything to do with stocks, any good suggestions?

Nothing just yet. Wait for the shakeout to be finished before making any investment decisions. The general consensus at the moment is invest in cash or gold. There really is not guarantees on anything at the moment. S&P isn't done with their downgrades, and until that happens the markets will remain volatile.

Yeah def too soon to buy now, but was wondering on any ideas on thoughts of what might drop in the near future that will be going back up.
I was going to get into it a few years ago when they all dropped drastically but unfortunately had to use my stock $ for moving expenses..I don't want to miss another opportunity to make some money.

Def would be worth buying into gold though..Maybe even silver, since since it's cheaper and rising just as much...
