Because it seemed to implicate others in the hacking, the email had the potential to blow a hole through News International's fiercely held contention that one reporter alone had engaged in hacking. If James Murdoch knew about the email — and was aware of its implication — it would lend weight to the suggestion he'd approved the payoff in an effort to bury the scandal.

This situation creates a further mess for the Murdochs who want nothing better than for the world to be distracted from the bad press they are now getting. So forgive me if I don't give into their wants.

Contrary to what James told Parliament, that only one person was implicated in the hacking scandal there came to light an email that shows the company knew about this a long time ago. Former employees are now speaking up.

the murdochs are spying on us, ted turner wants to exterminate us... there goes fox news and cnn. what has msnbc done? oh yeah... obama. we just can't win.

when another news organization is on the record for saying they actively and will do anything necessary to destroy rupert murdoch and fox news.

every single so called "news article" about this is quite suspect.

too many allegations have already been made with no proof as of yet been made public except some persons words.

facts do not enter into news today only the perception of them and thats is enough to destroy people and it has all too often.

people dont care about truth all they want to hear is a confirmation of how they already feel to justify their beleifs.

did he hack? maybe but that doesnt mean he did it with ruperts persmission or knowledge no one is that stupid when your business is at risk.

someone with an axe to grind and who has nothing on the line just might.
