Tim Pawlenty spoke to Council of Foreign Relations denouncing "Isolationists"

Tim Pawlenty finds his Hawkish voice

Tim Pawlenty looked to turn the page on his summer slump Tuesday morning with a speech to the Council on Foreign Relations bashing Barack Obama — and elements of his own party — over the course of U.S. foreign policy.

Titled “No Retreat From Freedom’s Rise,” Pawlenty’s speech aspired to be a Reaganesque declaration of American strength and leadership, perhaps most notably criticizing the growing conservative sentiment against expansionist U.S. foreign policy. “[P]arts of the Republican Party now seem to be trying to out-bid the Democrats in appealing to isolationist sentiments,” Pawlenty said. “This is no time for uncertain leadership in either party. The stakes are simply too high, and the opportunity is simply too great.”

Whereas plenty of Congressional Republicans want to end U.S. operations in Libya, Pawlenty urged Obama to “stop leading from behind,” and “commit America’s strength to removing Ghadafi.” To Republicans who say it’s time to wind down the war in Afghanistan, Pawlenty said David Petraeus’ voice “ought to carry the most weight on that question.”

Seeing as how he did not make much of a splash as he was hoping Pawlenty is now turning to the old guard for his candidacy shaping himself as the champion of Bill Kristol, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush Neoconservatism. Arguing that Obama is being too timid on toppling Qaddafi and calling for harsher actions against Syria's Assad, just short of demanding war.

He is now positioning himself to take the Neoconservative vote in the GOP primaries, the Socially Conservative Foreign policy hawks that Bush captured in 2000 and McCain in 2008. Now, in my eyes, he is the man we must stop at all costs. As Ron Paul's ideals of freedom and liberty are finding its way further into the Republican mainstream Pawlenty cannot tolerate such ideas of peace and non-intervention so he must align himself with the old guard of the GOP.

Obama is enough of a war hawk, do we need another President like Bush and Obama? NO! So we must stop Pawlenty and the clique of Neocons he is in bed with.

He's already out of the race for all intents and purposes. He just hasn't admitted it yet. The race will be between Romney and Bachmann for the ticket.

There are too many neocons in this race and they're up to no good. Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Tim Pawlenty, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, and probably some other people I'm forgetting to mention are all pretty bad. Obama also being a neocon doesn't help. It's as if the whole Washington establishment just got taken over by neocons, and, the neocons in congress right now failing to do anything about their fake opposition to Libya shows that everything's just a show. What are we going to do about it?
