David Cameron's local Tory chairman found dead in Glastonbury toilet

Christopher Shale, a senior member of David Cameron's Tory constituency, has been found dead after apparently committing suicide in a portable toilet at Glastonbury Festival.

Yeh another suicide in government.

Mr Shale, 56, who was the party chairman in Mr Cameron’s Witney constituency, was found dead in a portable toilet in the site’s VIP area at 9am.

He was featured in an article in today's Mail on Sunday which published a memo written by Mr Shale saying there was little reason to join the Conservative party.

The festival organiser Michael Eavis spoke of his sadness over the death during a press conference later.

My initial thought, and current media speculation, is that he died of a heart attack. But that's festival toilets for you!

Wouldn't have thought a bunch of trippy hippies would have been an MPs sort of scene!!!

Who or what has said anything about suicide?

It's seems far more plausable that, given his age this was more likely a natural demise, not a "suicide".

That said, no one will know until the autopsy.


EDIT: For all the posters wasting bandwidth poitning out the other thread, this is allowed as one is in "Breaking News", the other is a normal thread. They are permitted to excist side by side.

Did he have two or more holes in his head? If he did then it was suicide. Strange how that seems to happen.
