By gutting everything but the front seats of a limosine, terrorists would be able to fill the rest of the limo with explosives. According to Time Magazine, it would be more difficult to use truck bombs instead of limo bombs.

Terrorists were planning to strike some U.S. financial institutions using limousines filled with explosives, in new details of recent intelligence reported by Time magazine this week.

The explosive-filled limos were to be used because terrorists scouting some of the financial institutions, like Prudential Plaza building in Newark, N.J., said using trucks filled with explosives "might be difficult."
