Well it looks like there is now finally some new momentum being initiated with reference to employers hiring illegal aliens for their cheaper labor. I will be curious to see how many out of the total 1,000 audits I.C.E. is planning are initated in the State of Arizona; especially after their recent Supreme Court decision win confirming their rights as a state to go after employers who hire illegals. Excerpts from the article:

June 15, 2011: 7:35 PM ET

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- In an intensifying effort to battle illegal immigration, the U.S. government sent notices to 1,000 companies on Wednesday alerting them that auditors will be examining their hiring records.

The employers, ranging from small businesses to major enterprises, will be subject to inspections by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to determine whether or not they are hiring illegal workers. The agency declined to release the names of any of the companies being audited.

Why warn them that they will be coming? Just show up and do what you have to do. It is about time that companies are held accountable for hiring illegals. More jobs will now be available for our citizens.

Because it works and uses less manpower. A local company here had received letters stating that many social security numbers didn't match the name and they were going to be audited. They gave everybody a certain period to prove their identity and if they couldn't they were let go. IMO, this is more productive than raiding a place only to have more illegals working there the next day.

BTW, the company ended up replacing the illegals by bringing in workers on visas. Said they couldn't get Americans to take/stay on the job.

This is wonderful news!

Let's start with the big ones :

MacDonalds
Burger King
Wendy's

Walmart
Sam's Club
K-Mart
Contracting Companies that do local government constuction

Then let's head on over to social services and check on some of the social security numbers
that are used by more than one person to collect the services that are MEANT for US citizens.

It's about time!!!!!!

Interesting that you note workers who do local government contracting on your list. Here in Texas the highest percentage of illegals work on primarily private construction projects, single family homes, office buildings, etc. and then in hotels, motels and restaurants.
