Hilary Clinton May Become World Bank President - Next Phase For One World Govt.

Wow, am I just being overly critical or is this just mass cronyism, more than any other administration in history?

ssociates say Clinton has expressed interest in having the World Bank job should the Bank's current president, Robert Zoellick, leave at the end of his term, in the middle of 2012.

"Hillary Clinton wants the job," said one source who knows the secretary well.

A second source also said Clinton wants the position.

A third source said Obama has already expressed support for the change in her role. It is unclear whether Obama has formally agreed to nominate her for the post, which would require approval by the 187 member countries of the World Bank.

The White House declined to comment.

what does hillary clinton know about banking. i doubt she even knows how to use an atm.

her and her husbands record in the financial district are bordering on, if not criminal. from their whitewater bank dealings to questionable campaign finance management.

government has become like an elite game of musical chairs. they bounce around high level positions until the money stops.

then people wonder why nothing ever changes.

I am not against voting but people need to rethink their argument against people who do not vote as sometimes your own votes are useless

We need another solution outside of voting, I have no idea what that could be but this is just not working.

If she gets the job then that means that your resume means absolutely nothing as far as Govt. International Banking is concerned. I'm not saying that it ever did

How, specifically, would Hillary Clinton heading up the WB advance any sort of agenda? The current President, Robert Zoellic (nominated by Bush), was previously a managing director of Goldman Sachs, United States Deputy Secretary of State and U.S. Trade Representative, from February 7, 2001 until February 22, 2005. The President before him was Paul Wolfowitz. I fail to see how Clinton would be ANY different than them, Unless, of course, you're just being partisan.

So, again, how is this the 'next phase' , assuming it's even true?

The World Bank is always headed by an American - there lies the PROBLEM.

It's so ridiculous that they would even consider her for a position like this. Shouldn't a person have some credible experience in money management, and a proven track record, to work in any capacity at such an important institution?

When the world's economy is totally in the crapper, they probably wouldn't even think of blaming her lack of experience.
