Well, there's always an angle. And even if there isn't, someone will use it as one.

But as to the main topic here, a few guns being smuggled into Mexico is by no means any excuse at all for illegal Mexicans to be in the US.

I don't think anyone has said that a handful of guns was the reason or a fair excuse for all the illegals crossing the border. I have tried to point out that both governments are working together and that if the US government had to give an order to let this handful of guns across that they must have pretty good control at the border. This could only mean that they are letting the illegals in on purpose.

You need to concentrate on finishing college, kid. Let me guess, Liberal Poly-sci major?

The truth is, as long as there are Nation-States, then those States have the burden to defend the rights of their legal Citizens. The USA is one such Nation-State. You might have learned that in your History snoozes if you'd stayed awake long enough for the 'ancient rhetoric' to sink in.

People who come to a Nation-State illegally are flaunting the laws of that Nation-State and putting a burden on the Citizenry thereof. It'd be grand if we could ignore all that and live happily ever-after, holding hands and singing 'Kumbaya.' Maybe when you graduate, you'll be able to work toward that end.

The truth is, the Utopia that you dream of isn't in the 'real-world' and is completely insupportable outside of Liberal dogma and textbooks. It's a place of blood and sweat and tears, of hopes and dreams and commitment to family, community and the Nation as a whole. It's a place being eroded by the very fact of people already being criminals just by being here.

We want a healthy, safe society, as crime-free as possible? We can't do that by allowing someone who is an admitted and declared criminal stay here, taking up our livelihoods and resources with no sense of fealty to us.
We can't be a Law-abiding Society by flaunting the very laws that we live by. Of course I understand you want Anarchy and thereby, change to your 'Utopia.' What you'll get is Anarchy followed by Tyranny. But if you live past the street gangs and don't get hooked on drugs then I guess that'll be OK with you, since you're vision is so superior to the rest of us. You'll have a nice, mid-level job. Maybe running a Concentration Camp, or a 'Re-education Center.' Maybe you'll be a propagandist or work for the new 'Gestapo' (Homeland Security)

I say, "Good for Alabama!" It's about time US States and Citizens started standing up for our rights. Illegals have no rights. They are criminals, foreign criminals and any Gov't that supports them is our domestic enemy.

Erroneous conclusion on your part. Just because they gave certain "protection" to this shipment, does not mean that they could catch anything close to all the guns crossing the border. ESPECIALLY things heading into Mexico. Most estimates put it at less then ten percent of contraband FROM Mexico is detected, and whatever is going in will only be less.

Maybe. Maybe not. The story says that they let the guns through not that they escorted or protected them. Had they not been ordered to do nothing they would have indeed been able to stop this shipment. They even videotaped it.

I stumbled on a thread where a BP agent was saying that all their work was just for show and that the truth is that they want the illegals getting through (not his exact words) but, that is what I took from what he posted. Will try to find the thread.

I have seen post after post where US citizens show that they are fed up, angry and not gonna take it anymore. They talk about posting snipers, laying land mines, using drones, building walls and all sort of ways to seal the border. The government does nothing. Tell me that isn't a conspiracy.

Preaching to the choir there man. They need to shut down the border. But I also think that laws like these proposed in Alabama will be far cheaper and far more effective in the long run than building a wall.

You see, right now, narco terrorists are hiding behind a veil of legitimacy so to speak. Hiding behind the illegals that really are just looking for work, looking for a better life, looking to become Americans. Take away that cover, and you expose the Fifth Column.

But back to the ATF guns, yes I am aware that they did not actually escort the weapons. Perhaps I should have put that word in quotes. Which really goes back to my original point, that it is not required of them to do so. Now that may be their job to stop weapons, but they had a reason to let this shipment go unmolested for one thing. And for another, it goes back to my speeding ticket analogy. It may be the job of a cop to hand out tickets, but not every speeder he sees gets a ticket.

What I think your missing is that the Fifth Column is the US government. Sure those spouting anti US rhetoric are more likely candidates but they don't have control of US border policy.

Conspiracy means an agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act. Sure part of it is the narcos and the Mexican gov. but those are the obvious parts but the other part is the one who has kept things at that border the same for at least the last 50 years.

There isn't even a need for new laws because similar ones are already on the books they are just not enforced. That part has nothing to do with the illegals, narcos or the Mexican government.

The laws that are not being enforced are Federal laws, which is precisely why states are now taking it upon themselves to enact anti-illegals laws. The states might agree with you, that the Federal government is at the very least derelict in their mandate, if not in fact subverted by forces acting in conspiracy against the good and the will of the American people.

That's what I have been going on about all this time.

The problem that the states have is that they handed over the right to handle immigration to the Feds.

Now I don't trust any of them and would say that those in the state government are in tighter with those in the federal government than the people. Hence my opinion that all these laws are part of the show.

Well, you may be right about the show. Time will tell. At the opposite end, the states are closer to the elective. Awakening socially could spell insurrection politically and even civil war militarily.

Hispanic students vanish from Alabama schools:

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Hispanic students have started vanishing from Alabama public schools in the wake of a court ruling that upheld the state's tough new law cracking down on illegal immigration. Education officials say scores of immigrant families have withdrawn their children from classes or kept them home this week, afraid that sending the kids to school would draw attention from authorities.

I don't understand the problem ??
