I am currently looking for free software that I can use to convert videos (YT, Google) to DVD.

I use VLC for YT, and Orbit for Google, and now I would like to make a compilation of great videos to share. I downloaded Wondershare, which only gives me 30 days, and marks my videos with the words Evaluation Copy on the DVD until I buy it.

Any suggestions would be great, and thanks in advance.

Peace, NRE.

She said FREE.

The easiest free software that I use frequently to convert video files to other formats is Super:

www.erightsoft.com...

I've used Super for years to convert video files to other formats, but I haven't used it to convert to DVD, but it is supposed to work. I also use ConvertXtoDVD.

Go to zamzar.com

All you have to do is copy and paste the URL and choose whatever file-type that you want to convert it to.
It converts it, and then e-mails you the link the download your file.

The free version puts a water mark onto the video. Which = worthless unless you buy it.

Actually I use it regularly and all it does is put a screen at the beginning similar to the familiar FBI warning that says this dvd was made with sothink. Other than that I never saw a watermark directly on the video, I might have missed it though. I'll have to go back and check my DVDs. =)

Ah, so you're advocating illegally obtaining software? Now I got it.

I pay for my software, and music, thanks.

if u like something you use, then buy it. i think you tube downloader is free and it also converts. then you can use standard software to burn the avi to dvd. not sure why you would want to do that because i got rid of all my physical media years ago. i converted all mines and gave all my dvds away, saves space and mess and you can use a game console to stream it out.
