Vienna - A vintage Leica broke the world record for the most expensive camera, according to a Vienna auction house that sold it for 1.32 million euros (1.89 million dollars) on Saturday.

Wow! 1.89M$!! I guess that for that price it should have at least an auto-focus mode...


Only 25 of these cameras were produced and is the only camera known with ‘Germany’ engraving on the top plate. It was also apparently the first Leica camera to be exported as records indicate a delivery to New York for patent applies

It uses standard 35mm film, so not as much as the camera cost.
