I need the help of people who knows how to spot forged documents (non-Obama related)

First off this has nothing to do with the Obama BC. In truth my family is going through some legal issues pertaining to inheritance. I want to make sure these signatures are valid. Now saying that i have copies of the documents with signatures i have a scanner as well. What i need to know is what to look for. What program i need to run it in to spot abnormalities in the document. I don't know if i can do that from a photocopy? But we are getting screwed royally and any help besides telling me to get legal help would be appreciated greatly.

The first indication that a document is forged, especially when consider multiple signed documents is the signature. Whenever we sign a document, we never use the same signature twice, there are always, small changes in one way or another. If the signatures on the documents are identical they are forgeries.

Interesting...we had some of the same issues in my family when my grandmother died....

With that said, I used to work for a private investigation firm. Majority of our clients were attorneys. Your attorney will know how to get a hold of an expert in Forensic Documents...contact a private investigator if you do not want to use your attorney...but not just some PI out the back of a phone book.

I really do not think anyone here can tell you what to look for or how. You need a forensic document expert Trust me on that. We had to hire one!

Thank you greeneyedleo coolest mod on here. I not talking crap but where the hell did all the experts go on this subject? I'm not going to knock you down and this isn't a trap this is real so your help would be greatly appreciated.

Even if you are able to spot something you think is suspicious you will still need to have it verified. If you highly suspect that they were forged signatures then go get some professional assistance it will pay off in the long run. These are some signs but you have to keep in mind they may not mean anything and upon further investigation be found to have other causes.

Look for letter consistency, shape, and slant. People have a tendency to slant either the whole word or letters either up or down. If the signature is carelessly done this wont be taken into consideration and where someone may raise up an O the forger may drop it so long as they look alike.

Rushing, awkward flow and breaks are also common.

Unfortunately even if the handwriting specialist believes it to be a forgery it may not be an open and shut case unless there is conclusive evidence.
