I considered writing a long introduction to this thread, but decided that Jefferson's words speak for themselves, giving us a deeper understanding of just how desperate our condition as a nation has become. Now if we can get people in office seats to agree with the old as it WORKED, and right now its not working....for sure! We have to ask ourselves why though. Why is it we are going away from the old and ushering in a death sentence for our Country?? WTH are "We the people" to do as more and more I feel as though its all controlled and its out of our hands as it was for previous Presidents who tried to keep it the same or take us back to when laws passed did work.

Good post! I enjoy reading about real men who loved our Country and took pride in it. Now a days its just not so and makes me real uneasy to raise my children in the Land of the Free where I grew up and call home! It doesn't feel like home anymore! I feel like an outsider living in the land of Oz!

The problem is objectivism--viewing reality as an identity we own. Not only does this mindset cause us to grasp at our own souls as possessions, we tread on the dignity and rights of countless souls around us in the wake of our choices.
