Spain Adjusted Real Retail Sales (Mar) Y/Y -8.6% vs. Exp. -4.9% (Prev. -4.5%)

Retail sales take a huge dump... much more than expected... almost 100% worse.

Spanish Unemployment Rate (Q1) Q/Q 21.29% vs. Exp. 20.65% (Prev. 20.33%)
Unemployment goes up again... almost a 3 times worse increase than expected...

Spain CPI (Apr P) Y/Y 3.8% vs. Prev. 3.6%

And inflation goes up again...

The S in PIIGS is about to get real.

Whoah now I'm not one given to sensationalising gloom and doom rhetoric, but Spain is a huge economy as I understand, and their economic woes will likely profoundly affect the remaining EU countries.

Bloomberg reports similarly....
