I was Checking out the Live Internet Seismic Server - LISS and all other graphs appear ok except for the Dominican Republic Any thoughts on this? There was a 4.6 in bermuda..could this be a cause or what?

It'll be some silly hardware glitch of some degree or other.

What most people dont realise is how FAR the waves from earthquakes go, and how many people (like me) have a seismometer at home.
Anything 'funny' seismologically speaking, can never be hidden.

Looks like the needle arm spring has fallen off, so it just swings back and forth wildly as the drum rotates regardless of what data is coming in.

Just guessing


You do get some seismos that malfunction after a big quake though (7+)
