Anyone know if theres any truth to the government tracking down computers which use certain keywords e.g. bomb, osama etc.
Also can they track you down if youve been to any sites such as Bomb Making etc.
If it was possible wouldnt they get millions of hits every day...

just wondering... :|

Yes, ECHELON.
There are thousands of threads about this, check out the one on RATs. A simple google search will fill in the knownledge gaps.

As for the millions of hits, their super computers filter through things before it go to a human to look at. This cuts down on the massive amount of data they collect.

infinite:

You hit the nail on it's head : )

An echelon interceptor station/base tracks e-mail message and looks for keywords and spins off a copy for further evaluation.

Probably happens with internet searches on popular search sites as well.

If you want to get a message to the military in a quick fashion, just send an international e-mail using a few "key" keywords and they'll receive it no doubt...certainly beats going thru the normal channels : )

Cheers
