Wow I found this very interesting!

Europe may one day be under Africa as the plates converge...


As a result, bits of the African plate that did subduct have broken off and are descending to the Earth's mantle.


Crazy stuff I wonder what the world will be like for future generation's to come.

Hmmm...good find and interesting read. Of course the likely hood of witnessing any of the changes in our lifetime is pretty much nil - but then, the way the earth is behaving lately, ya never know!

Cool!
Naw really one piece or the other would bust off and we'd have some good quakes for a bit, but as the above poster said, we won't see it in our lifetime.....or will we?

Neat stuff to think about though.
