One person has been killed and a second suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting on board a Royal Navy nuclear-powered submarine, police said

Officers arrested a man after the incident on HMS Astute, which is currently docked in Southampton.

the Astute, uks best war sub, was docked in southampton on a five day good will gesture.

people were touring the astute, including school children and the mayor when the shooting took place.

the gun used was a rifle, a sabo....the guns and ammo are kept seperate.

what was shocking to me was that it was the police that made the press conference not the navy.

what shocks me is that security is that lax on a nuclear sub.

this is the first time i have ever heard of such an act.

Loads of threads on this already dude....this did happen like 5 hours ago and this is ATS. You should really try that search button before posting otherwise your thread just gets deleted or locked.

The gun was an SA90......and the dude who shot the people WAS security. You cant have a sub with unarmed people so this was always a possibility.
