I apologize in advance if this thread already exists... I couldn't fond it.

I stumbled across a technology that is mind blowing... Imagine being able to charge your phone, iPod, laptop, etc... Just by your naturally beating heart!

This opens up a world of opportunity for soldiers, camping, mountain climbing, etc...

But the first thing that came to mind to me, is the end of the world... Be it zombies, nukes, or whatever... The first thing to go is electricity... That is illness we can produce it naturally!

I forget the correct term, but there is a field of research along these sorts of lines. The basic idea is to generate power using the body and its natural movements and processes. For example, using things like body temperature or the normal motion of hands, wrists, arms, etc to power things. The article seems to be more promising than any of those were the last time I checked, though.
