I have decided and therefore, it so shall be, that all cumin must be immediately pulled and here by exiled from all spice racks or the from vicinity of any and all other spices...

If it is to be kept in your home, it must be stored by lock and key!

For I swear, if I again mistake it's name when blindly reaching for my beloved cinnamon and taste it's boldness instead of the pleasant calming yumminess of cinnamon on my breakfast toast...

I will, as orange juice as my witness, seek and destroy every last morsel of cumin from this planet, even if I must search the deepest pits of hell to find it...

Good day

Or, you could label your spice rack, or look at the label on the container itself...
But sure, what did cumin ever do for me?

I'm sorry that really sucks, but on another note cumin and paprika work well to get rid of ants sprinkle them where the ants are coming in and they'll stop.

Touché...

I do like chilli, but that is where the lock and key comes into play!

I always replace the chili pepper in my chili with cumin because it has all the flavor of chili without the "HOT", but if I ever mistakenly put cumin in my sticky buns instead of cinnamon, I'd surely be shot!

The simple thought of cumin on toast made me cringe.

OR...you could open your eyes when reaching for the spices...cinnamon is brown and cumin is gold.

Cumin, paprika, chili powder, cayenne, cinnamon.....all look the same at a quick glance. However, I've never had this problem, as I read my labels before I use my spices. However, if I made the same mistake as the OP, then I would be turned off by it too.
