Wow, this trash truck driver was minding his own business earning a dollar when a dumpster he was emptying exploded! Police evacuated nearby homes when they spotted another live round in the trash compartment of the truck.
Police said the driver was lucky to be alive and when you read this it reminds me of the movie "Southern Comfort" where all the bayou swamp cajuns were machine gun toters.

SAVANNAH, Ga. - A trash container exploded Thursday while it was being emptied into a garbage truck, and police evacuated nearby homes after finding a live "military-type" explosive round remained in the truck.

No one was injured in the explosion, which rocked a neighborhood of ramshackle to moderate homes at 6:50 a.m.

"It basically obliterated the Dumpster and did substantial damage to the truck," said Savannah police spokesman Bucky Burnsed. "The truck driver escaped unharmed, amazingly. Judging from the explosion, he's lucky to be alive.
