UN Turns a Blind Eye to Syria

Its funny how the states and the UN turn a blind eye to countries that have little or no oil. Why don't they want to spread Democracy to Syria? Oh ya, its all about the money, TPTB could care less about humanitarianism.

Have the Syrian revolutionaries asked the UN for assistance yet?

The Libyan protesters/revolutionaries had been asking the international community for assistance ever since the early days of their revolt.

These rebel groups/factions/revolutionaries have the right to self determination and the right to decide if they need or want assistance or help. I'm sure if they decide to ask for help the international community would chip in.

Very questionable isn't why Libya gets all the attention with all the other out breaks happening in the region ?There are worse violence against civilians else where ,yet very little political condemnation or media coverage .

Syria is as repressive as any regime. It is a total police state with staggering human rights record.

Many of the protests are taking place in Daraa. A couple decades back the state killed 10s of thousands of people who were rebelling against the government in that city.

Watch closely the US response. In the PNAC document Syria was one of the countries to undergo a regime change. I would not be surprised is covert means were used to help this process along.
