Polar bear is pretty much what I have thought most of my life, but they have never been reported in New Brunswick. The poor guy would have had to spend weeks on and ice flow, and wondered for many more weeks to reach Fredericton. It's possible but unlikely. Still I'm more comfortable with the idea of a polar bear than the alternatives.
