The fight began on Wednesday afternoon after an American convoy came under attack. The fight eventually involved over 100 insurgents.

U.S. marines have killed 25 guerrillas, wounded 17 and captured 25 during several hours of fighting in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi, a military statement says.

The statement on Thursday said 13 U.S. marines and one soldier were wounded in the clashes but none of the injuries were life-threatening.

With the recent emphasis toward attacks on Iraqi police, it is interesting to see renewed attacks on American forces. I hope we don't begin to keep a body count score.

From the brief description this certainly sounds like a target enriched environment. From the count many insurgents were either killed, captured or wounded. This attack does not describe the typical scerino the insurgents have used in the past.
We have given the insurgents a bloody nose. Either they continue with this style of mass attacks or they go back to ambush techniques, they will be surpressed.
