WOW. I thought that the 8.9 witch would have been a 9.9 a few years ago(they changed the numbers a few years back) was big. But all of these... I think thats a bigger story. How is this going to effect the world? They just had a 5.4 i wonder if this will continue. Is this normal? Does this usely happen after a big quake? I could not find any articles about this. It would be cool if some one could write one up for documentation.

I think it's fairly normal after such a big quake. The 8.8 in Chile had 304 aftershocks of 5.0 or greater, with 21 being 6.0 or greater.
