Mariah Carey and Beyonce earned big bucks performing for dictator Muammar Gaddafi

News stories are firming up a report that singers like Mariah Carey and Beyonce Knowles earned big bucks performing for some of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi′s four sons. Hannibal Gaddafi threw a star-studded bash on St. Bart′s this past New Year. Beyonce is rumored to have earned as much as $2 million dollars. Other A-list guests at Hannibal Gaddafi′s party included Lindsay Lohan, Russell Simmons, Jay-Z, Usher and Jon Bon Jovi.

While these guests may not have been paid in cash, they certainly had a good time, at the expense of the oppressed people of Libya. A similar party thrown by another son, Seif Gaddafi, in 2009 earned Mariah Carey $1 million dollars for singing four songs.

Sad but nothing new. Obama throws parties at the White House every Wednesday and invites A-List celebrities and pays top dollar for food and entertainment.... also at the expense of the citizens of his country. Are you in the US? If so you seem more upset about the Libyan leaders than your own.

This was pretty funny to me:

But Rice was also told that Gaddafi is a "a voracious consumer of news," as well as a "self-styled intellectual and philosopher," who "has been eagerly anticipating for several years the opportunity to share with you his views on global affairs." One such view: an idea to solve the Arab-Israeli conflict by creating a new state called "Isratine."

Serbia doesn't think too much of Gaddafi's son Muatassim apparently:

The Serbian ambassador is said to have described Muatassim as "not very bright."
