Without Russia, America would be speaking German. They didn't hold anybody back. The only people holding others back in that war was America, refusing to enter.

Ummm. That depends on how you phrased it. IF our military went back in time to fight those wars (a la the F-14s vs Japanese 0s dogfight in "The Final Countdown") we would win hands down but if you are talking similar troop strength vs our contemporary counterparts then you should provide at least a computerized war game study to support your "belief."

You know, I agree. If the power went out our guys from WWII would win. Even with our technology advantage. The guys from that era were trained to use their eyes more and I think would be better prepared.

Good point. BUT. That's a bit indulgent, don't you think? It's like grabbing for straws.

Think of the money we could save if every battalian operated like the WW2 603rd tank division.
