ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP)—Embattled Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez was meeting with his boss Tuesday amid reports that he will be fired after three
disappointing seasons.
The meeting between the coach and athletic director Dave Brandon stretched late into Tuesday afternoon, according to two people familiar with the
situation who spoke with The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss Rodriguez’s job status.

Looks like the heads of the Athletic Department at the University of Michigan have finally seen what old Rich Rod is all about. He has went 15 and 22
in three seasons as the head coach of the Wolverines. Their performance last week against the Bulldog of Mississippi State was just horrific. Being
beaten 52 - 14 by the said Bulldogs made this the worst loss in a bowl game in school history. After all the turmoil that Rich Rod has had over the
past two years, I'm just surprised that he wasn't fired after last year. I mean with the repeated NCAA violations of holding more than two practices
a day. The fact that
he owes West Virginia University millions after he basically told WVU to go stick it.
Now you Michigan fans see why we hate him down here in West Virginia. He's a selfish turncoat who only thinks what is better for himself. Now granted
he did have the right to leave for the "greener pastures" of Michigan. However, he did not have the right to leave when he did and the way he did
it. The last game of 2007, if WVU would have beaten the University of Pittsburgh. The Mountaineers would have had a shot at the BCS title if ol' Rich
Rod would not have thrown the game. Especially when going up against the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins in Dave Wannstedt. In that game Rich
Rod, basically ran the same play every time and Wannstedt jumped all over us.
