I've offered my computing power to the SETI@home program for awhile now and they send me an email explaining what else has to be done but something caught my eye, quickly.

In the email it states that

"..in February of 2011, NASA is slated to release data from the Kepler Mission, containing the location of several new exoplanets that could potentially be home to intelligent life."

Anyone have any other info on this? Thanks!

Wiki on the Kepler Project

Kepler is an exoplanets finder launched by NASA. My assumption would be that SETI may focus their satellites on possible exoplanets that may support life as identified by NASA, thus why they mention the Kepler mission.

"potentially", they just mean they probably have the right conditions to evolve life.

Oh yeah, I know about the Kepler mission but I find it a little weird that this isn't really known? A couple of exoplanets that potentially could harbor intelligent life... I mean that's a bit crazy right? Maybe I could be looking to into it and too excited? Just wanted to know if anyone else heard about this
