I'm looking for a video...

I seem to remember many many moons ago, a documentary series here in the UK called Cutting Edge, one of these i seem to recall was about project aurora. There were the usual experts and pretty pictures, but amongst it all was a bit of footage I've never seen anywhere since. It purported to come from a weather sattelite, and it showed in realtime, a BIG contrail start over the American mid-west and in a minute or 2 cross the continent and head out over the South Atlantic. Does anyone else remember this show? Or know anything about this footage?

Am I completely mis-remembering something? It must have been the better part of 10-15 years ago i saw it.

I remember that also but I can't remember the show either.

Ah fantastic, that looks like what I remember - hats off to you both.
I guess I remembered an animated sequence showing the contrail line.
I do seem to recall another thread recently, posted by a guy asking about a donut shaped contrail he had spotted recently.

That would obviously NOT be a contrail.
