With the movement over the recent months (some may argue years) of our government inserting their socialist agenda along with elements of the beginings of a police state I cannot help but feel a little concerned over the path we are heading down. Our government has been embarressed by it's failure to keep memos & documents secured despite housands of dollars spent on technology, development and manhours to develop security protocols & methodologys to make them secure. The government is now going after a sole individual for what amounts to it's own failures of security integrity. This is nothing more than shooting the messenger or, like shutting down a newspaper after printing an article or story the government simply does not like. Whether or not anyone agrees with the releases by Wikileaks is not the point nor the issue here at all. Its only an opinion if anyone defends or is against Wikileak master Assange because Wikileaks has been around a while and if they were an issue or concern, trust me, our government would have acted sooner than now. Assange's sexual case is now "an issue" compared to the past when it was only a minor annoyance for him. Our government (reference my own sources) is interested in the case and is attempting to try and link it to the leaks. To that I say good luck however the government or elements within or of, as well know may just "develop" their own unique docs to get it done. Wouldn't be the first time either.

The Transporation Safety Administration (TSA) is making a mockery out of the our Constitution as well as our civil rights in their campaign to make us all safe in the skys but all they have managed to do is create further division amoung all of us by targeting female citizens with large breasts, children making them prone to molestation and individuals who are obviously not terrorists. Apparently this is fine with the President, Senate, Congress, and the other politicos who could if they wished, stop all of it and require a refocus of security efforts on the part of TSA. The police state is beginning. Our economy is in the tank and while bankers, insurance companys and other friends of the political elite flourish while our citizens are forced to choose between spending money on grocerys or pay their heating bills which are going to increase according to many propane/gas companys as well electric providers. There is no relief in site either. Unemployment continues to be an issue while Congress plans for their Christmas vacations many of these people whose 99 weeks of benefits ran out are looking forward to just getting back to work. It must be a horrible feeling to know that your last few bucks have run out when you have paid taxes for unemployment benefits for years and now, your left holding an empty envelope. In addition to knowing that your taxes will help those who could help you pay for their Christmas vacations & lavish gifts.

Lately we have seen that many towns & citys have stepped up law enforcement efforts in regards to traffic law enforcement and other monetary based infringements against residents of such locales due to the deficit in municipaltys' budgets. This has been the cause in some cases of aggressive actions, both verbal & physical against LEOs which lead to increased or stepped up charges against offenders who otherwise would never act out in that manner. Law enforcement personnel always have a difficult time just doing their normal dutys but in times like these where the normal is no loner the case, everyone feels tthe heat regardless of their job, income or otherwise. With this stated many Judges are not letting people off as they once did with minor offenses due to the economy. Federal law enforcement is not exempt from this as many agencys are stepping up their drug, fugitive and other efforts as a direct again of this pitiful economy. Who pays? The people. Thats who. No excuse for breaking the law regardless of the economy but, the people are the victims all the way around in today's times. Again, criminals get what they deserve don't get me wrong here however charging a driver $230 for 3 miles over the speed limit and the Judge upholds makes one ask, "can I get some lube with that fine your Honor?"

The American people had better wake up then get off their freedom induced coma if they expect to have any honor amoung themselves as well as in the world because right now they are no more than a collection of guinea pigs being prodded, poked and plundered by those they placed trust into. Its one hting to call into the Michael Savage show or the Sean hannity hour and go on a rage compared to calling, writing, emailing your elected officials in order to have your voice heard. Those in the elite circles may make you feel warm & fuzzy when they say things you want to hear but remember, they have people & pollers out in the public gathering opinions and thoughts in order to write those warm & fuzzy speeches. So far their words are not cutting it with the American people. We are in a crisis folks, the time to act is now but the trick is to not stop acting and keep YOUR voice in the forefront of those who need to remember that they are just a vote away from being unemployed also.

No matter who you are on here and regardless if we have disagreed on any topic at all, I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you prosper well in the coming new year!!

Well stated. Perhaps this could be part of a new Declaration of Independence? When do we make our stand? This is my constant question to myself. When do we stand up and say "this far and no more"? When do we say "you don't have the right to do this"? When????????
