Mentioned it in a post or two about how it's been a pretty wet spring/start of summer, Inland QLD and some of NSW is flooding, and it's expected to get worse, just thought i'd post some articles on here in case any other ATS'ers from around the area have family/friends in affected areas, or are just looking to have a read.

Sout heast Queensland to cop drenching after inland of state flooded

An 81 year old man was washed away, and they have found his body this afternoon

Update: Police divers have found the body of a man missing since Friday night in flood waters Rockhampton

Mackay & Emerald in Central QLD brace for flooding

It's been pretty cold!
Southeast shivers as temps plunge
No sign of summer as 2011 draws near

and in NSW,
Parkes isolated as inland NSW floods
Hundreds flee NSW floods

Melbourne (VIC)
Melbourne hit by flash flooding

Australia wide
Still raining after Australia's wettest spring

But, funnily enough:
Perth endures driest spring in 41 Years

Ok, no more links!
Another thing, no matter where you are, never EVER let your child, (or yourself) play in or near a storm drain or near flood waters, every year so many die in floods when they need not to! so if you see someone playing near one, try and get them away from there or call the police so they can close off the area (if able)

Yeah i've got a couple of friends in Melbourne and that's all they are really talking about! Seems to be the entire east coast of Australia that's getting a drenching!

At least there's some positive to this though. No more major bushfires?
