After the leaked autopsy reports concerning publicist Ronnie Chasen's death, reports that claimed she was shot five times in a small area with highly effective specialty ammunition, speculation of a "Hollywood Hitman" grew rampant. This was only compounded by the claims of actor Randy Quaid, for which there is another thread on ATS (see below).

New developments occurred yesterday as Beverly Hills detectives entered a low-cost apartment complex known to house many struggling actors. As the officers waited in the lobby, the man they were looking for entered the building.

"They attempted to talk to the suspect," (LAPD Capt. McClure, who is investigating the man's suicide,) said. "When they did, the suspect produced a handgun and there was a self-inflicted gunshot wound." He was pronounced dead on the scene in the lobby of the apartment building.

The type of handgun used in the suicide has not been disclosed, nor has the ammunition.

Note that despite there being much ado about this man being merely a "person of interest", Capt. McClure refers to him as a suspect. Perhaps, though, this is in reference to the suicide case.
