Morals are UGH!!!

Everyone has morals of some sort, there is always a line, there are ALWAYS behaviors that people will see as wrong or abhorrent or harmful to society. You can't pretend to NOT be moral, unless of course you're Charles Manson and even then I'm sure he had some sick morality of his own.

Would you commit a murder?

If you answered no than you have a moral, you find the act of murder to be wrong or bad, you are a moral person.

Perhaps you are ranting against Moral ABSOLUTISTS?

I am sure there is plenty that do not care about morals. Just look at gw bush and tony blair, absolute factual murderers, but loved by so many religious people, lol.

Most people have no understanding of right and wrong, and thats a fact. They tell us they do, but they do not. If something is wrong, its wrong.

Right or wrong? It's only right or wrong outside I by liars.

No one is moral. Jesus confirmed that FACT I CAN VERIFY through all people.

If you live by what others say is right or wrong, then you are a fool because they lie. You cant even see their souls, so how the hell can any of you tell me they arent liars? Get the hell on!!! There is no SOUL detector test, to see if the soul is a coward or not.

If you ask me if murder is right or wrong, I'll tell you it is neither for me to answer you about. To each his own. Why do you care on what I buy as right or wrong? Get off it! How about you wait to do something if I do something to you that you don't like rather than SEE IF I KNOW that BS RIGHT FROM WRONG THING?

IT'S LIKE OR DONT LIKE in my book. Not some right or wrong. That fake B.S. you cant play with near me since I dont like it and will do something about you if you do something I dont like my way.

I am what I call a corrector, I will correct anyone when they B.S. my way. Pull any moral pitch over me like I'm suppose to move to that, and I handle things SWIFTLY. I'm so feirce not any threat of jail time will stop me from CORRECTING a person TRYING to test what all they can do over me or my mind.

Struggle against life and life struggles back.
It a whole lot easier on people and the furniture when we give each other room to breathe.

This is by far one of the weirdest things i have had the dis pleasure of reading..
That being said the guy has hit a point : about a thread i read about us living a moral life on a planet
that is absent of morals.

Our world doesn't run on morals it would be nice but it doesn't.

Do you think the ARMS dealers both legal and illegal stop to make a moral judgment.
Do you think the Corporates stop to make a moral decision on how much they are going to screw us for.
Do you think the Governments make moral decisions based on whats best for the people.....

I can see why this guy would feel there is no point to living a moral life.

I don't believe the OP is coming off that way. If so, being immoral would be so much easier because the whole world works on pessimism and being amoral. In fact, being moral would be the courageous thing to do because you are standing above all pessimism and amorality. You are struggling against a world of corruptions and debased morality. To me, the OP is upset because he does not want to live a life by a certain code of ethics. To him, he thinks he is being courageous because he is against the status quo backed by morality.

Jesus. The same Jesus who supposedly walked on water and became a zombie? Yeah, he's where I turn for facts

The reason there's no soul detector test is because there's no evidence that a soul even exists. If it something that could be measured by science and had a bearing on some aspect of a human beings life I'm guessing there would be a soul detector.

Honestly I'm not sure what you're getting at but here's how morals have worked thus far:

If something causes harm to the group or individuals in the group it is considered wrong

If something is beneficial it is considered good.

If something is benign or can do both harm and good it typically inhabits a gray area (things like certain drugs, gambling, pornography, etc)

The real problem is not people trying to be moral... that's progression. People look at the immoral world, let it overtake them and slip into severe immorality and that's regression... then you got some people who take a narrow view of morality and shove it down other people's throats because it's what they've accepted and chose without first taking a close look at the situation, without taking a good long look at themselves and not even a glimpse at the world they advocate and live in as though it's all fine and dandy because of the sugar coating they have set up and support and they expect everyone to buy into it and follow suit without ever noticing anything is up and without ever questioning the principle... and whatever you want to call that exactly, it's annoying.

Do you have a loved one? If you do have one, would it matter to you if a person with no morals killed that loved one or did something horrible such as rape or torture?

Or would you say you had no loved one and that these acts were neither good nor bad and you could care less?

If you had some object that was expensive or even inexpensive, but mattered a lot to you, to the point you would defend it or fight for it, and someone stole it or overpowered you and took it, what would you say?

If morals do not matter then you should say "Oh whatever. He stole it from me, but morals don't matter, so whatever."

If morals don't matter then you should be like a zombie. You should go around and your response to anything that is happening to you or to others should be whatever. You have no opinion at all about anything at all.

Everything that you see you can think of is good or evil in some way. Either that, or you can have no feelings about it at all. People can harm you or your .loved ones or the things you love, but you wouldn't care.

So do you care about anything or love anything in the world?

Morals matter to people who care about something. If you are beyond caring about anything at all, anything that happens to your self or anyone at all, then you probably wouldn't have posted anything at all because even that wouldn't matter at all.

I don't believe in much of what society considers moral or ethical or even legal depending on where you live and what you do.

Morality is the majority and ethics and laws are simply characterized by whatever fascist regime is in place at the time. The only guiding light I follow is the most logical route. Government isn't interested in logic, it's interested in legislating the idiotic standards of its constituents and members. And if the world is any indication already, most people are stupid, illogical, and insufferable; ergo most laws and standards of morality are as well.

I somewhat understand where you are coming from. It is not necessarily the morals that are destroying the world. It is forcing your morals upon other people. For example, homosexuals: For homosexuals, it is not immoral to be homosexual. Yet to SOME heterosexuals, it is. It is those people who force these kinds of morals, that does somewhat "destroy" the world.
