Nearly 15 percent of the world's Internet traffic -- including data from the Pentagon, the office of Defense Secretary Robert Gates and other U.S. government websites -- was briefly redirected through computer servers in China last April, according to a congressional commission report obtained by FoxNews.com

There has been alot of talk on ATS about a covert war between the US and China and this report comes to light.

Wow, thats pretty worrying.

Imagine everything that's flowing via the world wide web, being filtered and logged in China.

Who's to say they didn’t put a worm in there, so they could achieve the same result without actually allowing anyone to know?
What sort of military chatter or classified comms did they intercept?
What about foreign citizens of Chinese blood when the Chinese would like to locate?

Pretty ballsy move.
