Did you ever hear of the countless bail outs that have been occuring? You know, Socialist methods? Pump money we don't have into a system.

I noticed you would defend your brothers with Fire... Sorry. I don't agree with any of your post, no surprise eh? The thing that caught my attention was the "Fire", comment. Please elaborate.

I nominate you for most twisted view of the Geo-Political Landscape! You are seriously not understanding what I am writing. You still have not given me any examples of a working Socialist or Communist State. Tick Tock, Tick Tock...

Ding ding ding! There ISN'T ONE!

Quite the imagination and amount of time it took you to bash America! Don't cry to us for help whent he next disaster occurs. We are are hated but guess who's door the World knocks on when SHTF? OURS!

Put aside your smug attitude and superior Canadian wit and humor and listen closely: Communism and Socialism does NOT work. Plain and simple. You have been unable or unwilling, to give me any instances where it works. Until then I will continue to be a donut eaating, god fearing, gun toting PROUD AMERICAN.

You can kiss my Country ass.

In the Op's defense he states that Cuba is not a failed example. Maybe you can tell us which system has withstood the test of time because I can't think of one. Seems to me the scandanvian model works the best in keeping citizens happy whch has several socialistic attributes.

You're bailouts aren't socialist!

How the hell can you call it socialism for a capitalist government to hand out trillions of dollars to private banks? That is stupid! On top of that, the banks are keeping the money for themselves AND THE US KEEPS GIVING THEM MONEY. I personally believe the US is putting trillions of dollars into banks so it can, at a future point in time, reclaim the money and invoke fascist reforms, because that's exactly what the situation appears to be. And guess who will lead the new American empire? It won't be you, the people; it will be them, the elites.

..."through the extreme discipline that the Soviet system invokes..."
Oh. By discipline do you mean tyranny and murdering people? Is that what you mean? Cuba STILL, has starving people. They STILL persecute those who do not agree with the current Government. They STILL murder people they deem unfit to the State.

Cuba is a failure and has been failing ever since that murdering Che and Castro took power. In that order. Stop defending the murderous and horrible ways of the Communists!

I think you need to shut up.

The US has starving people and does worse than just prosecute those who do not agree.. we allow republican & democrat politicians, not courts, to strip people of rights, summarily punish by torture, indefinitely detain, kidnap, and issue death sentences to people convicted of ZERO... based on secret evidence.

When Cuban leaders behave like tyrants.. for the state, it's a sign of failure & evil. When the tyrants are GOP & DNC party leaders.. it's a sign of freedom, justice and rule of law virtue.. lmao. nationalism is the best gravy to make fascism taste good.

Viva Cuba and viva viva viva Castro as far as I'm concerned, he might be a dick.. but he doesn't get pushed around by the DC mafia.. Anyone who causes US party leader elite stress is alright in my book.. Fidel hasn't done anything to me.. and I don't see him lying wars into being causing millions to suffer, or telling the world he can torture, kill, or kidnap anyone he pleases.

This isn't related to the topic in question but gotta hand it to people to turn it into yet another left vs right, socialism vs capitalism issue.

Cuba is actually far more complex than our media would have you to believe. We only hear the opinions of the Cubans who despise Castro and their government, not the other way around.

If you bothered to do the research, you'd find that socialism has worked/is working in the following places:

Norway
Central America (Bolivia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Ecuador)

Maybe your definition of "successful" is different from mine. The ignorance of North Americans on socialism/communism is due solely to the success of propaganda.

I dont know enougth about cuba to comment on how much of a sucsess story it is but the reason the 'communist' states of the 20th century failed was because they became dictatorships. americans seem to have goten it into there heads comunism is the greatest enemy of democracy, it's not capitalism is; in capitalism polititions are bought by financial elite, the people manipulated by the media owned by those same elites. true comunism is free of these influances and much beter for the people but achiving this by a revelution which create new vested intrests/elites and dictatorships hence ussr and stalin. we need change but gadualy - anarchocommunism by social democracy.

You do realize that dictatorship is an essential part of communism, right? It's not some evil thing that Western media propagates. Which is better: a leader being chosen by a central committee who knows what is necessary for the system, or a vote for the most popular media candidate with the most money to manipulate election campaigns?
