A Russian built MI-8 helicopter carrying 21 UN peacekeepers and 3 Russian crewmembers has crashed in Sierra Leone, Africa. All are missing and
presumed dead.
There was no distress signal from the chopper before it disappeared. A search team found the wreckage on a hillside in the jungle. There is no word
yet as to the cause of the crash.

More than 20 U.N. staff and others are believed dead in a helicopter that crashed on Tuesday in Sierra Leone, the United Nations announced.
The helicopter, leased by the U.N. peacekeeping mission in the West African country, was on an operational flight in the western part of the country.
"It appears there may be no survivors in this tragic incident," spokeswoman Marie Okabe said.
