I love RT's spin on the story too

Like the US actually lost the nukes....where are they?....we can't find them...

We know where they are...unlike the USSR that literally lost/sold them away. Where's the hypocrisy RT claims?

The Day Twitter Became Self Aware:

Where is Jack Bauer when we need him. Oh, thats right, he was canceled.

Only Jack would be able to save us from something as silly as Twitter Going ROGUE!!!

_________________________________________________________________

At first I thought it was a joke that a US Nuclear Secret was exposed by a Former US Air Force Missile Launch Specialist Tweeted the lost of communication.

FORMER??? How does a Former Officer have access to this classified information? Who did he tweet it to that it ended up in the international news?

Something Stinks Here and this story is not adding up. Again, as stated before and now we add in the TWITTER angle to this story and yet only a 90 second bare-bones piece by Wolf Blitzer on CNN and no other MSM attention.

What is your opinions my ATS Friends?

t

Here is the AP(Associated Press) article written by ANNE GEARAN and MICHELE SALCEDO via The State newspaper in South Carolina.

One military official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the incident publicly, said the equipment in the launch control center has been the subject of unspecified communications problems in the past.

Surge in alien aircraft and now this, anyone else think this recent rash of alien's into our stratosphere and respective atmospheres be them interferring with our ability to communicate with our items?

This tells me that they (whoever they are) have the ability to disable our entire defenses by just flicking a switch. My q is, for what purpose are they here for in numbers?

Could this be Earth bound via a hacking of our networks and server templates that control those uplinks?

Could "Live Free And Die Hard" be correct as NORAD can be totally comprimised using nothing more then a laptop?

We must get this leak plugged and it needed to be done last month. This makes me feel real uneasy and unsafe. I thought we had better systems then that!

If you are refering to human threats then I agree with you completely.

I can see regular infrastructure falling apart nationwide because of the US government's preoccupation with weapons, but if nuclear weaponry infrastructure is also falling apart then really, what the hell are they spending money on? In the last couple of years (go back as far as 9/11 too if you want) we have seen the US Military victimized in ways that should never have been possible given the trillions of dollars spent to prevent that very thing.

I think though if you look at history you can see a recurring trend for the US military, one that is possibly recurring right now. There have been several cases going back to the early days of the nation where due to stubbornness, lack of foresight or just plain arrogance has led the military to the brink. Right now the military is finally wrapping it's head around small/fast/mobile enemies instead of superpower conflicts.

But that is not the only 'front' that they need to adapt to.

Cyber-warfare is not a concept that just appeared this month; the Military should not be vulnerable. Yes, the threats evolve and improve at a much faster rate, but speaking as a IT person I can say this should not be a significant problem. The US government admits to owning computers and electronic systems that are just mind numbing in thier abilities and are supported by what appears to be a nearly infinite bankroll to ensure that they always stay that way.

The only possible excuse is corruption.

The studies/reports that were comissioned and funded were never really conducted or were done in such a way that there appears to have been a thurough process when in fact the money was pocketted and the reports made up from previous work orders and purchasing requests.

If it is UFO's you are worried about...I think you'll be OK.

There is an older sci-fi movie (I can't remember the name) about the USS Enterprise travelling back through time fully loaded to WWII. The Captain at one point mentions to a member of the crew that thier one ship could single-handedly win the war for the Allies in a matter of hours.

If UFO's wanted to wage a war against humanity they could have done it at any point over the last couple thousand years. As far as the increasing number of sightings I am pretty confident it is not thier forces scouting or staging in preparation.

I can't say for sure, but any race able to travel across interstellar space is probably packing some staggeringly powerful weaponry too (and if it is energy based, they would be 'carrying' an unlimited amount of it). Barring an instant Death Star type move, a single ship would probably be more than enough to conquer us without even disengaging the auto-pilot.

In fact, with all the abduction/experiment stories they probably know enough about our DNA to develop a biological weapon that could destroy us with a single warhead without ever having to deploy forces at all.

what i couldnt beleive is the last few paragraphs about other mistakes thats happened. 6 nukes were flown over the u.s. that were "woops" fully armed!

They left out the part about 6 leaving one base but only five of them arriving at the next.
- And the extra time taken for that flight, and the huge military search for a missing James Bond type, after that, using a plane that could track nukes in the search.

i think in the next few days were gonna see a lot of disclosure about alot of military/political mistakes because tptb dont want us dwelling on
the wikileaks torture documents.

That's a plausible enough theory.
