Just wanted to share a movie that moved me, Ride The Divide is about an underground race that takes mountain bikers 2700 miles from Canada to Mexico,
mostly through mountain passes. The scenery is divine, the story full of human triumph and defeat and the effort to finish is monumental.
The movie provides a good shot into the psyche of humans and how we can react in various situations, particularly solitude. Sometimes the riders go
days without seeing anyone, a real test of one's stability, imo.
The movie is also laced with personal stories of those involved, and how this trip affects them.
Anyway, I highly recommend this to bicycle enthusiasts, nature lovers and general spectators.
Just wanted to add that this film is an exercise in zen, imo and reveals our capacity for going beyond our self - imposed conditioned limitations. I
hope more people, especially cyclist get to watch this.
