Experience will certainly do, Calstorm. I wonder if it varies from state to state. (I'm in Texas) lol Trying to identify these people might be an exercise in lost teeth (or worse). These are probably the same people who somehow manage to get away with no liability insurance.
I also kinda wonder how much things change from 1 Congressional session to the next.

Ugh! Octomom- there is a perfect example. Those poor kids!
It's no better than an embezzler or a tax cheat.

Sounds to me like another thread complaining about food stamps.

There's never a shortage of things to complain about on ATS.

My only problem with this is we cut from the people, and blow money on wars of aggression, contracts for foreign corporations, pass laws to take the ability to sustain ourselves by our own hand, and then the first thing we want to cut is any benefit to the people. Until we cut overseas, until we cut all stupid university research grants, until we cut bailing out corporations, the government better damn well provide for its people first. That means the small percentage of people that can't find a job and have worked most of their lives.

That's why the first thing to be cut should be the military spending.

:-) Agreed! Witnessing the socialism threads. (I'm not there, yet. Can I have dibs on distributism? That really lit my fire lol). I don't want to hurt anybody. I just wish these things that have been shoved behind the couch would be brought back out where they can be seen. I'm curious to know *how* neoconservatism & neoliberalism overtook & strangled our political system. (or what the hell *happened*?)Maybe that will come out in the wash, but you're absolutely right about clearly understanding it first.

There are a few things that made me o_0 too. Like a monarchical system being better. I need to read up on that more before I ask questions that may sound stoopid or be unnecessary.
