Interview with an Alien

No, its not what you are thinking. I dont have pics, audio, or video of a definitive interview with an alien. That would be cool as hell though wouldnt it? No, this is a speculative/hypothetical interview. Well, questions for an alien would probably be a more apt title. But it got your attention didnt it? I am a firm believer that we are not alone in this universe, that (even without the drake equation being around) as infinitely HUGE the universe is, and how miniscule the earth really is in comparison....theres GOTTA be something out there....theres gotta be. This is something i have been thinking of more and more lately as this feeling of something monumental and reality shattering is about to happen. If i had the chance, just one chance, to talk/think to an alien, what in the world would i ask it? Keep in mind that it would be the most surreal event of anyones life probably. I sit and i think about this, at work, after work, while i am working out, while i am reading, i cant get it out of my head lol. Maybe i have been reading too many abduction books and stuff lately, who knows. What would i ask? Well here are some i have been thinking.

-How long have you been sentient?
-Have you just recently found out about earth, and if not, how long have you been visiting?
-If you have been visiting for a millenia, were you our ancient gods?
-If you have been visiting for millenia, where the hell did the human race veer of course, and why the hell didnt you interdict before we got to where we are?
-Does the governments of the world know about you and if they do why did you let them hide your existance?
-How many civilzations are out there?
-How many species of sentient life are you aware of?
-Is the answer to life the universe and everything really 42?
-Was there really a Zeta Reticuli exchange program? If so how could between our speices we could never figure out the 2 different measurements of time?
-What is your species called?
-Where are you from?
-How did you go through your species "growing pains"?
-How were able to develop FTL drive? If not FTL Drive what kind of technology do you use to travel the cosmos?
-How close to the extinction precipice are humans?

I really could go on and on and on......the questions abound, the mind reels. What would i do with the answers? If i had absolute proof that this conversation happened would anyone believe it? And say for instance i got this all on tape, with 3 witnesses, with 3 different videos from 3 different angles, of the conversation and we were able to keep all the evidence from the stingy hands of TPTB, how would the world react? And what if the reaction of the world was the one fact that would decide for the aliens if they would continue interacting with us, would we totally flip the EF out and lose our minds? Or would we as a race, finally say.....we're tired of the wars, we're tired of the hate and anger, we want help....please dont leave us? We need to know that there is more to this ride than just living and dying. Personally....it would fill my heart with a yearning to know more, not just about the universe, but about ourselves. If they have been watching us for centuries, how much could they tell us about ourselves that we have forgotten? Ask yourselves what you would ask, given an oppurtunity like this, to be the first human being to ever have first contact with a being not of this world. What would you ask?

I think there is a section on ATS for short stories. Maybe you could develop this idea more there? Get people to add the questions they would ask maybe in an alien interview.

You left out the most important device in an interview/interrogation.

Yes it was a double standard question. But seriously what are the signs that a person you may know can plausibly be an alien being?

I spoke to an old friend of mying and for some reason he mentioned that he believes he is an alien
and yet no drugs were involved, so it's kind of like wtf are you trying to get at?
I just laughed as if it were a joke, but I kind of thing it's strange very odd indeed.

I'm not sure we agree upon what time is and how time works, and all the variables that influence and effect time. So, "How long" is not an absolute constant. As for what it means to be sentient, again we may not agree upon the definition of the term. Do you mean since I last woke up from sleeping?

The human race veered off course when the first single cell organism decided to split because alone sucks. Then, when there were two absolute identical single cell organisms they tried to have a conversation, and neither had any idea of how to communicate, and there was no experience on either's part to communicate with outside entities. When a macro-organism stands in front of another macro-organism and both raise their right hands they can acknowledge and recognize that the other entity is raising their right hand also. When a macro-organism raises it's right hand in front of a mirror it can see the reflection has their right hand on the same side as they do. So what makes primates think the first two cells knew whether the message was being sent from left to right or from right to left, and what makes primates think that the other cell knew to read the message from left to right or right to left? And when was this paradox fixed? Examples:

Why did people choose to empower their governments to the point they don't require their governments to be truthful with them? What makes aliens from lightyears away responsible for people who work for, spend taxes on, hire people to make laws for, and support the government officials who keep truisms from them?
