That lady in the article is also very lucky, to be able to seperate a fight between a bear and a dog, with a zucchini, is incredible.

Zucchini... lets see, I do know it's full of Potassium.... and according to the food library, smaller zucchini will be more tender so the lady must have gotten a larger one otherwise the bear probably wouldn't have left!
