A WEALTHY British lawyer told a taxi driver he was doomed hours before he was shot by police after a five-hour siege at his home, the inquest into his death heard yesterday.
Divorce specialist Mark Saunders, 32, told cabbie David Hay: "I'm going to die."
Within hours he had been killed by at least five bullets, fired by marksmen who surrounded his £2.2 ($3.6) million property, in Chelsea, west London.
The officers were called after reports a shotgun had been blasted out of a window.
