I'm asking which doctrine do you think was the best?
I think it was the blitzkrieg: if Hitler didn't interfere with his generals they wouldn't have turned the battlefield into a static one ( german resources can't afford it)

P.S other doctrines:
Russian: heavy artillery barrage followed by superior numbers storming the place
American: Strategic bombardement to weaken the enemy's war industry, and air superiority( although I think everyone tried to attain it)

The british , I think, used the same tactics as those of the americans ( bombardement...). Though they relied also on sabotage, and lots of it.

You're right kormy the british bombed civilian population with heavy bombs before sending a salvo of napalm bombs that would burn the ruins and the now unsheltered population ( shelters destroyed by the first bombs). Hole cities were razed. They thought they would demoralise the population. Though the US did that also.( yeah war crimes that went with no trial)
I initially forgot about it.
