Anyone who has a little time to research the information, we quickly realize
that billions of dollars have been misappropriated in Afghanistan. Many of
the contractors, particularly foreign contractors have no oversight and will
not provide information to any investigative body interested in following the money trail. From one perspective viewpoint, it could be considered a
free for all. Check out who is buying property in Dubai. Fine luxury condos there.
This is Billions of U.S. Taxpayer dollars we are talking about! Not just a few
hundred grand being scammed here or there. And this has been going on for years. I guess if I was the happy recipient of a tidy sum percentage of
those
dollars I wouldn't want the war party to end either. Frankly, that isn't the case.
And even if it was, it wouldn't make it right. More Ethics out the window.
I guess I'm just a dreamer who thinks that some standard of law, ethics, and
fair business practices should be respected and enforced.
It is comical that I should be so foolish not to realize that Corruption is actually the standard business practice these days. Study history, and
you will clearly understand where this direction leads. The collapse of the
Roman Empire is a particularly insightful parallel.
