I was studying therapeutic healing and came across a girl named Emily Rosa. Apparently, at nine years old, she was the youngest person to publish an article in a scientific journal. The study was titled A Close Look at Therapeutic Touch. There's even an NBC special about the little girl's achievement. In 4th grade, she conducted a simple study debunking universal energy specialists.

My personal belief is that universal energy and its healing practices are indeed real, but some people parade as trained professionals when they really aren't. But for this girl to debunk specialist after specialist over and over again, makes me begin to doubt the process. Could simple belief actually be what heals the patients? Or is there really divine energy at work here?

People who specialize in this field, could you share your opinion about this information?

Some people are more suseptable to this energy then others. that being said, the specialists are probably scam artists. personally i can focus and touch certain people and make them feel heat, cool, relaxed, and some other feelings just by focusing colors through my hands after charging all my Chakras. I do not charge people for this and I dont do it often, but it indeed is real, that or people are pulling my chain, which i doubt because I only let people I trust know I am able of certain things.

I have no idea what you're saying here. The "study" concludes with;

However, this study found that 21 experienced practitioners, when blinded, were unable to tell which of their hands was in the experimenter's energy field. The mean correct score for the 28 sets of 10 tests was 4.4, which is close to what would be expected for random guessing.

To our knowledge, no other objective, quantitative study involving more than a few TT practitioners has been published, and no well-designed study demonstrates any health benefit from TT. These facts, together with our experimental findings, suggest that TT claims are groundless and that further use of TT by health professionals is unjustified.

As in it's not real, it didn't work, and has no evidence of anything doing anything.

As far as reiki goes, I am a level II reiki practitioner, being able to sense peoples energy fields has nothing to do with it. Some reiki masters try to sense energy blockages with their hands, but I was taught to put my hands on the patient and let the energy flow, nothing more.

Your body has everything it needs to heal itself, reiki just reduces stress and adds balancing energy. Debunking all energy practices because a few practitioners couldn't sense a hand seems a little presumptuous to me.

First hand experience has proven reikis validity to me over and over. I was skeptical getting my first treatment, it was a gift, until chronic pain that had been with me for years disappeared after one treatment.

If you want to know for sure, go get a treatment! Look up a local practitioner and try it out. Reiki balances mind, body, and spirit. Many people who come to me have no physical illness at all, they just want to feel peace and they almost always return.

Be well!

That's pretty much what my OP said. If you watch the video I was talking about, which is more clear, you can see multiple practitioners being debunked. I'm doubting the healing process, not the scientific process. It's a really simple test actually.

All she does is put up a cardboard screen between her and the practitioner, cuts two holes in it, and tells them to put their hands through. Then she puts her hand over their hand and tells them to feel her energy to guess which of their hands she has placed a hand over. The 4.4 number shows most of them repeatedly "missed the mark".

For healers who are reading this, would you be willing to subject yourself to this process in order to find out if your method really works?
