3 US states are in the state of emergency due to a threat of devastation of hurricane Earl

NAGS HEAD, North Carolina - There had been a continuing evacuation of the residents in the East Coast of America due to a threat of devastation of hurricane Earl.

Yesterday when the mandatory evacuation was ordered on the state of North Carolina. Once again the said bad weather was raised to category 4 hurricane after it was lowered down to category 3 yesterday.

The residents were advised to have a stock of food on their homes.

The center of the hurricane was perceived at 680 miles south-east of Cape Hatteras in North Carolina.

This situation is a no brainer and the best course of action is to not take chances.

It possess a strong wind that reaches 217 kilometers per hour. The hurricane is hitting North Carolina, Long Island in New York and Boston in Massachusetts.

As of now, over 30,000 residents have evacuated from Hatteras Island in North Carolina while 5,000 tourists have also evacuated in Ocracoke Island.

State of North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland were under the state of emergency.

North Carolina have already requested the federal emergency declaration from US President Barack Obama Barack Obama before the landfall of the hurricane.

Hurricane Earl firstly devastated the Caribbean due to expanded power blackout and cancellation of airline flights.

Even though people want to stay and watch as this dangerous storm moves in, the best and wisest decisions will be to follow the evacuation orders and not try and wait it out to the very last minute and possibly lose the opportunity to escape safely.

While tourists and locals alike head for the shelters there are always those who figure it will be nothing more than another big storm and decide to stay and ride it out.

If we learned anything from Katrina this is not the best idea when dealing with a major Category 4 or higher hurricane.

I recall the feeling I had prior to Hurricane Katrina and today is much the same, the sense that there will be those who decide to ride it out and it is for them I get the Erie feeling this is going to be much worse than they think.

Lets stay on top of these evacuation plans and try to help encourage those who can leave to do so.
