Missiles thrown during Bradford EDL demonstration

www.bbc.co.uk

Bottles, stones and a smoke bomb were thrown during protests by a right-wing group and their opponents in Bradford.

Trouble flared at the city's Urban Gardens where a large crowd of English Defence League (EDL) supporters had gathered.

They were penned in by hundreds of police as a separate group of 300 people from Unite Against Fascism (UAF) assembled for a rival protest.

So, the EDL scum are at it again.

Causing mayhem, public expense, and general nuisance by acting upon their easily recognisable rasicsm dressed up as Anti-Islamic sentiment.

When will our disgusting far-right comrades learn that racism, and particularly anti-Islamic bigotry, will not work? It's not hard, we know that extremist Islamic activists are evil, just like extremist Christians, and anyone else harboring hard-line extemist views are.

What will it take for the brave moderates to start taking names, and taking scalps?

These idiots moronic racist bigots on both sides of the divide need to learn the hard way what it is to be a true accepting moderate. We're fed up of you ramming your disgusting racist views down our throat - as this article shows.

Learn your lesson, and be quiet.

Lets' start by saying being a Muslim is not a race. The use of the term "racism" is used by those who lack an opposing view point. The Muslims are taking over Europe and Great Britian. There governments have allowed this to happen at the expense of there own soventry. We in the USA are starting to see this happen with unchecked legal and unlegal immigration. Our new wave of immigrants are using our own legal policies against our nation to foster there own wants and desires. Our politicians are enabling this to happen. The new arrivials are trying to force their cultures upon us and refuse to become American citizens. The only way to stop this incidious behavior is to fight back and that is what you are seeing in Britian.

I always get disappointed when people say "missiles were thrown". I keep expecting someone to literally throw a missile in someone's face, only for it to blow up in their face and kill them.

It seems way funnier that way.

Thought I would give this thread a bump as some important information has come to light that would affect all journalists attending future EDL protests. There has been some chatter within EDL and Casuals United blogs and forums regarding their attitude towards photographers. Photos from Bradford showing EDL protesters engaging in violence have led to what they and the Casuals United call a non-violent fatwa against journalists.

After discussions with leaders of the 73 different Casuals United groups it is felt that the presence of Indymedia or other left wing muppets at any future patriotic demo by whatever group is a threat to public order as a lot of our lads are VERY angry about the situation. Its like letting Gary Glitter babysit for you!

At all future liason meeting with police they will be told, left wing journos being let in is a threat to public order and we cant guarantee their safety.

Casuals United Fatwa

Individual photographers are now being targeted. The following is a link to an EDL forum thread identifying photographers.

It would be brilliant if they just let the EDL and UAF troglodytes fight it out at these protests. It’s surprising that so many EDL members would take a break from glassing each other in pubs and actually turn up to their own rallies.
