Toronto-born Omar Khadr, 23, is accused of throwing a grenade that killed U.S. Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Speer during a firefight in
Afghanistan in 2002. He is being tried on five charges, including murder in violation of the laws of war. Here are the major developments in his U.S.
military commission trial, which began in August 2010 at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. It was expected to last several weeks.

He plead not guilty, will be tried with a jury and his lawyer is airlifted for medical purpose, delaying the trial. No controversy so far. I will
