Never thought of it that way, but you're absolutely right. Just like a photo of the Moon with all the details of craters and valleys visible...exactly the same no matter how immense or miniscule.

Truly amazing images. I sold a lot of vacuum cleaners while I was in college. The single grainy pic of a dust mite I would show was always the clincher.

I enjoyed your whole post. The one I found most interesting was the columnar snow crystal.

I didn't know they ha such structure: Explanation of the glass like tubes on Mars?
