Now why were these people exposed???? Because they didn't clean their equipment? In this day and age, how can you not properly clean hospital equipment???

MANHASSET, N.Y. (AP) - A hospital notified 177 patients that they may have been exposed to HIV or hepatitis because equipment used to check their digestive systems might not have been properly cleaned.

I'll tell you how, because a lot of people no longer take pride in thier work. They feel that companies owe them something besides a paycheck and benefits ( if there are any ) and therefore, people take the easy way out and do half A@@ed work.

It did say that none of the people exposed have tested positive for either of the diseases, that's a good thing. They have to be tested again in 6 months. Imagine sitting around with this on your mind for 6 months.

Under-staffing is also a problem. Gov'ts continue to cut jobs and the workload to those remaining gets to be too much. Something is bound to be overlooked.
